Two months in Portugal

Hello everyone,

My name is Boris, I am 18 years old, and I am French. Although I was born in Lyon, I am originally from the island of Réunion. It has now been a little over two months since I started my volunteering mission in Portugal, and I would like to share with you a glimpse of this adventure that has been so enriching for me.

Since my arrival, I have had the chance to work with children in a warm and stimulating environment. My days are filled with educational and social activities, where I provide support with daily tasks while discovering a fascinating culture and a rich language. Thanks to this immersion, my Portuguese is gradually improving, and I enjoy being able to communicate more and more easily with locals and colleagues.

Outside of my work in the mission, I have also had the opportunity to explore the beautiful landscapes of Viana do Castelo and its surroundings, as well as to uncover unexpected aspects of Portuguese culture. These discoveries strengthen my desire to continue learning and growing through this unique experience.

I am grateful for everything this project brings me, both personally and professionally, and I look forward to seeing what the coming months have in store. I hope that by the time I write my next blog post, my Portuguese level will be high enough to write it entirely in Portuguese!

See you soon for more adventures!
