VAI

This year, the AJD got together with other non-profit organizations from the north of Portugal to participate in a pilot project called "VAI" – ‘Voltas Associativas Intercâmbio’ / Associative Exchange Rounds – or just simply “Go!”.

Monitors, technicians, volunteers, psychologists, leaders and etc. of the different associations – namely the AJD (covering the region of Viana do Castelo), SALTA FRONTEIRAS (Felgueiras), SYNERGIA (Braga), and YUPI (Famalicão) – came together for several weekends to share experiences, debate youth policies, discuss organizational logistics and (re-)inforce relationships between the participants. We also organized our very own version of MasterChef and had a lot of fun! ;) 

The first meeting of the project took place on the 1st and 2nd of May in Felgueiras at the Salta Fronteiras (“Jumping Borders”) Association.

Este ano, a AJD se reuniu com outras organizações sem fins lucrativos do norte de Portugal para participar em um projeto piloto chamado "VAI" – Voltas Associativas Intercâmbio.

Monitores, técnicos, voluntários, líderes, dirigentes associativos e etc., das diferentes associações - ou seja, da AJD (que abrange a região de Viana do Castelo), SALTA FRONTEIRAS (Felgueiras), SYNERGIA (Braga), e YUPI (Famalicão) - reuniram-se em vários fins de semana para compartilhar experiências, debater as políticas de juventude, discutir as logísticas de organização e reforçar as relações entre os participantes. Também organizamos a nossa própria versão do MasterChef e tivemos muita diversão! ;)

A primeira reunião do projecto ocorreu nas dias 1 e 2 de Maio, em Felgueiras, na Associação Salta Fronteiras.

On the 23rd and 24th of May 2015, it was YUPI’s turn to host the other Youth Associations and show them their home town of Famalicão!

No dia 23 e 24 de Maio de 2015, foi a vez de YUPI receber as outras associações e mostrar-lhes a sua cidade natal - Famalicão!

And last but not least, during the weekend of the 12th and 13th of September, it was time for the AJD to return the favor! The participants took the opportunity to discover the city of Viana do Castelo and enjoy the natural and scenic beauty around Deão and along the river Lima. During “working hours”, we reflected on the experiences, priorities, problems and desires of youth associations, and came up with strategies to improve the functioning of our associations.

We hope the other participants had as much fun as we had :) Greetings from everyone at the AJD, and here's to hoping that we will collaborate more in the future!

E, por último, mas não menos importante, durante o fim de semana de 12 e 13 de setembro, foi a vez de a AJD devolver o favor! Os participantes tiveram a oportunidade de descobrir a cidade de Viana do Castelo e desfrutar da beleza natural e paisagística ao redor de Deão e ao longo do rio Lima. Durante "horas de trabalho", refletimos sobre as experiências, prioridades, problemas e desejos de associações juvenis, e chegamos a estratégias para melhorar o funcionamento das nossas associações.

Esperamos que os outros participantes se tenham divertido tanto como nós nestes encontros VAI :) Saudações de todos da AJD, e esperamos colaborar mais no futuro!
