One of the aims of AJD is to raise the youth's awareness of the European citizenship and interest in the Erasmus+ programme, including the European Voluntary Service. To do so, AJD, represented here by Ana Paula and ourselves, has teamed with Mariana Marques from the organisation YUPI for a workshop with highschool students from the School in Lanheses during the European Youth Week.
Besides understanding the importance of youth associativism, the youngsters had the two of us stand as examples of EVS voluntary work and we told them about our experience so far and also put them in the position of potential volunteers during an educational activity. Being no longer strangers to the Portuguese press :) this little event of ours made it again in the regional news.
Um dos objetivos da AJD é aumentar a consciencialização da juventude para a cidadania europeia e interesse no programa Erasmus +, incluindo o Serviço Voluntário Europeu. Para fazer isso, a AJD, aqui representada por Ana Paula e nós mesmas, fez uma parceria com o Programa Erasmus+, para realização de uma oficina com os alunos da Escola de Lanheses, durante a Semana Europeia da Juventude.
Além de entenderem a importância do associativismo juvenil, os jovens tiveram-nos como exemplo de EVS trabalho voluntário, e nós falamos sobre a nossa experiência de SVE até ao momento e também colocámos os jovens na posição de potenciais voluntários durante uma atividade educacional. Já não sendo estranhos à imprensa portuguesa :) este pequeno caso da nossa atividade foi novamente notícia regional.
