Eu sou o Carles, um rapaz espanhol de 22 anos. Após acabar a licenciatura em
Psicologia no ano passado, decidi embarcar na aventura de viver noutro
país. Descobri este projeto através do CES (Corpo Europeu de
Solidariedade), e vim para colaborar com a AJD nas suas atividades pedagógicas e, sobretudo, contribuir no dia a dia das crianças.

"old". But I´m far from old because I´m 18 years old and I have just
finished high school in Germany. On the one side, I wanted to go abroad
after finishing high school since a few years.

My name is Kevin, I'm 23 years old and I'm French from the south-west!
I am a Frenchman, my joy of life and my sociability are my assets, those that make me want to see other things than my small region!
I discovered volunteer missions last year by participating in a one-month mission in Italy.
It was very enriching and I had a lot of positive things to say about it: opening up to the world, constantly discovering new things, new cultures, new people, new habits, all this opened my eyes and I wanted to go on a longer mission.
So I chose the Juvenil de Deão association.
This mission, completely different from the previous one, allows me to be an animator for all publics, which is totally in line with my professional project to be an animator for children and of course for all publics afterwards, thanks to the experience I gained during my voluntary work here in Portugal!
This volunteering will make me progress professionally but also personally because unlike the others I am leaving for 6 months so I will be able to get out of my comfort zone, move away from my family and become totally independent etc...!
That's why I appreciate and thank the local mission so much because I keep on learning and discovering every day!

Estou muito feliz por estar aqui e por estar rodeada de grandes pessoas! Partilhamos muitos momentos em comum, é ótimo.
No que diz respeito à missão, estou a divertir-me muito, tanto com as crianças como com os idosos.
É difícil falar ou compreender português, mas espero que dentro de 6 meses consiga ser melhor!

Hola, soy Carla y hoy se cumple una semana desde que estoy aquí, ha sido una semana increhible ya que me lo he pasado muy bien con los niños y con mis compañeros, estoy muy feliz de poder hacer proyectos con ellos, jugar y ayudarlos en todo lo posible.

Primero de todo me presento; me llamo Juan Pablo. Tengo 23 años y vengo de la isla de Mallorca en España.
Decidí hacer este voluntariado por coincidencia realmente, en noviembre 2022 decidí volver estudiar, y como el curso empieza en septiembre de 2023 pues tenia estos meses libres. Y hablando con la orientadora académica, me dijo que si quería tenia la posibilidad de ir a un voluntariado en algún país de Europa financiado por la unión europea, ¿me vino como anillo al dedo no?.
Entonces, yo tenia algunos requisitos, tales como que yo quería un país con lengua románica, como Italia, Francia o Portugal. Que la duración del proyecto encajara con mis meses libres y que me diera tiempo para poder trabajar algunos meses antes de empezar a estudiar.
Y bueno, después de aplicar a los proyectos que mas me interesaban, me decidí por este proyecto en Portugal.
Mis objetivos para este voluntariado son sencillos, aprender un idioma nuevo, conocer gente, culturas y todo tipo de cosas nuevas que me hagan crecer, experimentar cosas que no podría en mi día a día, y bueno hacer cosas nuevas, probar todo tipo de actividades y retarme en cosas que nunca haya hecho y ver que me gusta y que no.
Ahora bien, ya estoy en Portugal y todo bastante bien, los compañeros de piso son muy agradables y nos llevamos muy bien, hay buena convivencia que es lo importante.

Sou a Elena. Tenho 26 anos e venho da Galiza, em Espanha. Gosto muito da cultura portuguesa e da língua, e venho aqui para aproveitar a experiência de aprendizagem do português mas também para melhorar as minhas competências sociais com os miúdos e a equipa da AJD. Conheço o norte de Portugal, e gostava de ficar a viver aqui no futuro, pela proximidade cultural com a Galiza e também a amabilidade dos portugueses e das portuguesas. Estou apaixonada por Viana do Castelo e pela freguesia de Deão. Adoro viajar e experimentar novas aventuras no estrangeiro. Estou a tirar doutoramento em Filologia Inglesa, e espero poder contribuir com os meus conhecimentos de inglês na AJD.
Hi there, Eu chamo-me Cyrielle, I am 21 years old, and I’m a new french volunteer at the Ajd for the next 5 months.
In France, I live between Limoges and Toulouse.
Limoges is a small town located in the center of France. It is quite known for its famous ceramics, especially the porcelain, because of the implantation of multiple porcelain factory in the region during the 18th century.
Toulouse is a bigger city, this is where I completed my economics and sociology studies. This is, by now, my favorite city, because it offers a large diversity of cultural and artistic activities.
Yet, I decided to leave these two French cities to go to a new adventure, here, in Portugal.
I have realized I wanted to explore new adventures in foreign countries to gain maturity, add a deeper meaning to my experiences and give a different dimension to my professional venture, which would consist in working in a social-based structure, such as the Ajd.
I am looking forward to discover a new country, a new culture, meet new people and learn a new language.
It has already been a week since I arrived and I feel very good here. I had time to visit Viana do Castelo and taste portuguese specialties such as the famous Pasteis de Nata, which I loved. I also went to the Praia de Cabedelo and, with my roommates, we watched a beautiful sunset on the ocean.

Olá, o meu nome é Jason, sou um novo voluntário em Portugal durante 6 meses, voei para o Porto no dia 15 de Fevereiro, foi a minha primeira vez a voar, e estava ansioso por levantar voo.
Cheguei a Viana do Castelo no final da tarde, com tempo ensolarado. Vou contar-vos a minha primeira impressão sobre esta bela cidade e os seus arredores.

Olá !! Eu sou Inès – chamo-me Inès – Minho nome é Inès – é como possam constatar ; Eu aprendo (eu tento) o português. Sou francesa. Trabalho com crianças todos os dias da semana na associação AJD (associação juvenil de Deão) porque gostaria trabalhar com frações de população marginalizados.

Eu gosto muito ouvir a musica e dançar.
E Eu adoro debater uns assuntos !
E porque meus objetivos são ensinar as crianças a ouvir-se para falar todos juntos em um debate.

Hallo, guten Tag! My name is Anna. I am an 18 year old volunteer at AJD from Germany and I am staying here for the next 8 months.
I have graduated from school in 2021 and in my school life I got to explore many of my interests. My main passion is art, painting and crafts, but I also like to skate, do music, dance, learn languages, science, videomaking, drama and explore the world.
This was also my reasoning why I decided to come to Portugal –
· to explore the country
· to learn the language and get to know the culture from locals
· to become more independent
· to challenge myself
· to put all my passions together to good use, for example by exploring them with children

This year I expect to improve my relationship with children because is amazing to play with them and it is a kind of leap to the past.
